QML TextInput calls onEditingFinished handler 2x on iOS and Mac OS

I've created a custom QML component called a NumberEdit which contains a native QML TextInput.

Whenever the user enters text via the iPad virtual keypad, then presses the Done soft button, it results in onEditingFinished being called twice in quick succession.

The same problem occurs on MacOS as well. If the user enters text via their keyboard, then presses the Return key, it results in onEditingFinished being called twice in quick succession.
