Installer / Maintenance Tool becomes unresponsive when loading component scripts

Most visible on Windows but affects all supported platforms.

Worst case scenario for Qt Maintenance Tool is to select all categories including 'Archive' on the package manager view, where it can take minutes to become responsive again after the last progress update showing the text "Extracting meta information..." and 100% on the progress bar.
