Description
The function timeout.connect() inside QTimer only accepts the type `function` as a parameter. This doesn't work if the parameter is a `method` (a.k.a. a function inside a class). It's really unintuitive and doesn't really make sense to me.
Currently it can be fixed by creating a lambda with the method and passing it as a parameter instead.
