Description
We currently don't generate wrappers for protected methods (e.g.: QAbstractItemModel:createIndex(int row, int column, void *ptr = nullptr) const), this means we will be unable to override them from Python land since there is nothing in our wrappers. When Qt C++ code calls those methods, instead of calling the ones defined in a user's custom derived class, it would silently call the base class methods.
I'm not sure if this was intended or it's just an omission, but at least there is a couple of old reports related to protected methods:
