3d example for PySide2 hangs (CPython3.7.2)

I try to run the example at:

http://code.qt.io/cgit/pyside/pyside-setup.git/tree/examples/3d/simple3d.py

It shows no error, but just hangs (I have waited 30 seconds with black window, no load on the system). Upon interrupt in PyCharm I see following:
