When running multimedia examples there is no error shown in stdout, but no multimedia content is shown. 'recorder' example shows:

internal data stream error. 

See the image attached. Seems to be the case on "all" targets (apalis-imx6, colibri-imx6ull, intel-skylake-64, imx8mn-ddr4-evk)

Raspberrypi4-64 does not show "internal data stream error" but shows a "bcm2835-isp" as a recording device even there is no device connected to the hardware.
