Accessibility on iOS / Android: underlying items are still active

XMLWordPrintable

    • Android, iOS/tvOS/watchOS
    • 2025Season3QtforAndroid, 2025wk34s2QtforAndroid

Accessibility tree doesn't disable itself after opening drawers or popups, so the underlying elements are still active and menu (or popup) is practically unusable.

It makes Accessibility useless on such elements and prevents user interaction using VoiceOver or other screen readers.

The screenshot demonstrates this issue with an example Qt Gallery app using VoiceOver, using iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 18.5.
