The first main section of that page, entitled "Setting the Application Icon" is unneeded.
It seems a relic/paste error from this page: http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7-snapshot/appicon.html
See that it is exactly paragraph 2 from that page, and yet does not really fit or make sense in the page on desktop integration.
I suspect a cut and paste error, or something of that sort.
