    Description

Sometimes, when starting VirtualBox or Skype, their GUI interface is totally corrupted (see screenshot).

As far as I know, both these products use QT as GUI framework, so I suspect this is actually a QT issue.

Unfortunately, I don't know which QT versions VirtualBox or Skype uses, so I just put versions of these products:
      VirtualBox - 5.0.0
      Skype - 4.3.0.37

When started from console, it outputs:

Qt WARNING: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
Qt WARNING: QNativeImage: Unable to attach to shared memory segment.

(VirtualBox:15110): Gdk-WARNING **: shmget failed: error 28 (No space left on device)
