Editor of spanned item gets wrong location when expanding programmatically

The editor of a spanned item is at the wrong location when expanding the item programmatically.

Procedure:

1. Start the attached program
2. Resize the window to make the horizontal scrollbar visible
3. Scroll the view to the right end
4. Click on the header button

Actual outcome:

The button is moved at the left of the view.
