Scaling issue when a window is created in the background

I experienced this with two apps using Qt, the Blizzard Battle.net app and the Epic Games Launcher, both have a chat system where the app creates new chat windows when you receive a message from a user.

Now when I get a new whisper from someone and mouse over the taskbar icon without clicking on it, the preview is wrongly sized and not filled with content.
