QLabel is not updated when text is added to it

    Description

      QLabel is not updated when text is added to it. Seems to work on Windows but not on macOS.

      Steps to reproduce:

      • run the sample attached
      • press the button
        EXPECTED: the label is updated and added text appears
        ACTUAL: the label is not updated unless the window is resized
