When using a ColorOverlay over an item then sometimes it will not show correctly if there is another ColorOverlay operating on the same item

When using a ColorOverlay over an item then sometimes it will not show correctly if there is another ColorOverlay operating on the same item.

In the example attached, if you click on the item then it will sometimes show a rectangle instead of the currently seen shape. You may need to click on one after the other to achieve that.
