Description
In continuance to QTBUG-84569 where the Start menu shortcuts were incorrect, now they are not being created at all.
Upgrade install using the maintenance tool to remove version 6.1.3 (where this identical bug is also present) to 6.2.0. This issue does not occur with a clean install.
Version 6.1.3 selected packages installed with qt-unified-windows-x86-4.1.1-online.exe:
Under Qt 6.1.3
- MinGW 8.1.0 64 bit
- Sources
Under Developer and designer tools
- MinGW 8.1.0 64 bit
- CMake 3.21.1 64 bit
These entries then unchecked and exactly the same chosen for Qt 6.2.0 before proceeding with the install.
The only shortcuts that are created are for the designer and to uninstall. All cmd shortcuts are missing, maintenance tool shortcuts are missing.
Update: With qt-unified-windows-x86-4.2.0-online version 6.2.1 was completely removed (uninstall only) and 6.2.2 installed. The shortcuts for 6.2.1 were not removed and still present on the system.
