Build/Run/Debug disabled after changing build configuration in a CMake project

1. Open a CMake project.
2. Switch to another build configuration (with Build > Open Build and Run Kit Selector).
3. It automatically executes CMake in the background which finishes with success. Despite this the Run/Debug/Build icons remain disabled as well as their Menu action counterparts.
4. Build > Run CMake manually. This again enables the actions.

CMake version: 3.5.1 under Ubuntu 16.04.
