CMake import build fails to run pre-build target executable

Let's say you have a pre-configured, pre-build CMake project and you want to start hacking the code ASAP.

Qt Creator 4.5.0 has the nice ability to create a compiler kit from the pre-configured CMake project.

Unfortunately it doesn't work out of the box from the first run. Qt Creator just has the name of the binary to run, not the full path and it fails to find the executable.

One needs to close the project and reopen it to have things working.

Not everybody knows about this "simple trick".
