Improvement on Follow Symbol Under Cursor in another split

Currently with the option "Always open links in another split". When I open 3 views with file "1.cpp,1.cpp,2.cpp", when I do "Follow Symbol Under Cursor " in view of the second 1.cpp split, it would open the view on the next split, thus now I have 3 splits of the same file "1.cpp". This isn' t smart enough. The desired behavior for me would be if it exists another split with the same file visible, it should open the link in that tab instead of overiding another tab. The Jetbrains  IDE series(like Pycharm) does a good job at this. Hope this become the default behavior on installation.
