Qt Creator crashes after switching from form editor to text editor and closing the file

It seems that quite often the Qt Creator crashes on Windows operating system. This crash seems to happen after editing some UI form with the editor, then switching to text edit mode and then closing the file (split view, closing the file from the window X button). Then any unsaved changes are lost, and the tool needs to be restarted.

This, however, does not happen every time but has happened many times so far.
