Description
I am using ubuntu 18.04 gnome. (same issue happened on an ubuntu 16.04 unity)
/home is mounted on sda2.
/ is mounted on sda1.
Qt creator is installed in sda2 (/home).
All my code is in my sda2 (/home).
in sda1 (/opt) I have an include directory that has soft symlinks to some header files in home directory.
When I edit any of the headers (the soft symlinks) in qt creator and save I get the following error: "
Error while saving file: Cannot write file /opt/rdi/include/rdi_stl_utils.h: Invalid cross-device link
"
and then the symlink becomes empty as if it's a different file.
I tried to reproduce the behavior with other editors (gedit and sublime) but I didn't have any issues.
Haalp!
Thanks in advance.
