    Description

Using QtCreator 4.9.2 on Windows 10 Enterprise, 64-bit.

      (I)

Tried to update via the maintenance tool. Update starts normally.

While updating error message "Could not find <path/to/file> " pops up several times in succession. It is possible to click "skip". I do not remember if the files were the same or different in every error message.

Later in the update an error message "Not authorized to [...]" pops up. It is only possible to click "cancel". I do not remember the full error message.

Cancelling the update leads to the maintenance tool closing.

The program file qtcreator.exe is deleted.

      (II)

      Opening the maintenance tool again:

Selecting "Update components" does not detect new components.

"Add or remove components" works as it should. Adding and installing a component works.

After installation of the component a qtcreator.exe file reappears in Qt/Tools/QtCreator/bin. QtCreator is now in Version 4.10.2 and seems to work normally.

      -----------------

Part (I) of the issue happened in approximately July 2019 on two other systems while trying to update from QtCreator 4.9.0 . It was solved by deinstalling and reinstalling Qt.
