My QML Components are indistinguishable

Details

    Description

In projects which contain several or dozens of QML forms, typically the names of the forms are long and descriptive to coincide with the complexity of the application. In other words, the designer is not typically able to create forms with names like "Button", or "Text". When names get longer, it is necessary to elide the text in the small button in the tool palette. Unfortunately, this often makes forms with names like "MaintenanceMenuUpdateForm" and "MaintenanceMenuFromDateForm" indistinguishable, so it is difficult for the user to understand which item them are selecting. See attached screen capture for an example.

A method for allowing the user to easily identify an item in the tool palette would be very helpful. Perhaps a tooltip with a reasonable timeout – similar to the ones in the toolbar – would be a reasonable solution.
