Steps to reproduce:

1. Launch audioinput example
2. Make some noise, and observe that it is registered on the level meter
3. Press suspend
4. Press resume
5. Make some more noise - it is not shown on the level meter, indicating that audio capture has not resumed

Note that this occurs in both push and pull modes.

Another way to observe the defect:

1. Launch the spectrum demo
2. Select 'Mode > Record and play back'
3. Press record
4. Make some noise, and observe that it is registered in the waveform display
5. Press pause
6. Press record
7. Note that the waveform display is not updated, indicating the audio capture has not resumed
