Investigate regressions in Qt Quick text performance

There seems to be some degradation in the performance of instantiating text elements in Qt Quick since Qt 5.1 which are more grave than for other types of items. While the performance has improved a lot in Qt 5.5, the instantiation is still not quite on par with Qt 5.1, so we should investigate what has happened and see what can be done to improve this.
