    Description

      The compositor currently sends a long list of supported formats. This may cause clients to use rather exotic pixel formats, such as 10-bit rgb, when such formats either aren't actually supported, or converting them to a supported format is very expensive performance-wise.

      We should probably default to a small selection of pixel formats, and have the option to opt in to additional formats.
