    Description

      This ticket tracks the support of STM MIcroelectronics STM32MP1 hardware for Yocto/Linux as a cross-compilation target. A QBSP file for STM32MP1 is to be created and tested.

      What & why

      We need to support STM Microelectronics STM32MP1 hardware for Yocto/Linux as a cross-compilation target. A QBSP file for STM32MP1 is to be created and tested.

      Triggered by a customer case.

       

      Qt feature needs <DRAFT, needs validation>

      • UI: Needs to support both QML based UI with 3D and 2D, as well as QWidget UI.
      • Input methods: Physical keys, touch and VKB
      • Connectivity: Networking, USB
      • Qt modules: same as in Qt 6.2
      • Qt add-on modules: same as in Qt 6.2
      • Known limitations: List module per module
      • CI and RTA: There is a mechanism to automatically detect binary brakes on above defined working modules

      Definition of Done

      • Qt6 source codes compile on reference target. Customer can develop software for Yocto.
      • Qt sources same as in all platforms (mandatory)
      • QBSP available and tested
      • Binaries, smoke tested (mandatory)
      • CI tests on desktop host
      • RTA created
      • Hosts (desktop): Ycto, WIndows and Mac from 6.3 development hosts ticket (QTBUG-93421)
      • Targets (HW): STM32MP1
      • RnD support: for mandatory hosts and targets Standard, rest up to PS
