    Description

Don't get me wrong. Qt Creator is much better at small screen friendliness than some other IDEs, but things can get cramped rather quickly.

There are a few places that could be improved (Probably as an option to not throw others off):

      • The line numbers are very wide. For example, Xcode is much more compact despite having almost the same functionality. On a file with 1000+ lines, Xcode's line number bar is 36px wide, while Qt Creator's is 68px wide. I'm not saying that Qt Creator needs to be that compact, but being smaller would be very nice.
      • The main toolbar on the side is too wide as well. An "Icons Only" setting could be used.
      • The inline errors are nice, but it would be really nice to see an option to go under the line. As long as the cursor doesn't jump (errors above the cursor slide up instead of down), I think it could work out.
      • The file tree could have smaller text and smaller indentations.
      • Do we really need two bottom panels? I don't need to have my debugger and the app output open at the same time. I would really like to be able to consolidate them.

If you want screenshots, I can provide them.
