Bottom widget stands between maximized application and virtual keyboard

When you tap on the search field of the maps application for instance, you see the bottom application widget standing between the maps app (which is maximized and with input focus) and the virtual keyboard.

In such a situation (virtual keyboard over a maximized app) the bottom widget should disappear.
