As a user, I would like to know which map is being shown (offline or online) and have some feedback when the map is being loaded. Currently it takes some time until the offline map is being shown and user doesn't get any feedback if something is happening in the background. 

Additionally, show a notification in the case of offline mode and grey out the search and home/work buttons instead of hiding them.
