Cannot build Automotive examples in Windows

When trying to build automotive examples, the following message appears:

C:\Users\QT\RTA\qt5\5.12.0\Automotive\apalis-imx6\toolchain\sysroots\i686-pokysdk-mingw32\usr\bin\qmake.exe -o Makefile ..\hello-world\hello-world.pro -spec devices\linux-oe-generic-g++ "CONFIG+=debug" "CONFIG+=qml_debug"

Building process gets stuck in a never-ending loop where the aforementioned message appears constantly. This was tested using Automotive hello world example but can be reproduced at least in Tuner example.
