Unable to create source archives for qtivi with submodule from non-gerrit repository

Building a qtivi change (https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtivi/+/289383) fails with error message:

It seems that the problem is that the change updates a submodule (src/3rdparty/qface)  that is not managed by gerrit through normal review process, but the repo(https://codereview.qt-project.org/admin/repos/qt/qtivi-qface) is just synchronized from upstream.
