QCameraDevice photoResolution not returning correct resolution on Surface Book Pro 4

When querying for available photoresolutions on a Surface Book Pro (4), the returned resolution for both front and rear camera are reported as follows:

1920, 1080; 640, 360; 640, 480; 640, 640; 1280, 720; 1920, 1280; 1920, 1440; 640, 360; 640, 480; 640, 640; 1280, 720; 1920, 1080; 1920, 1280; 1920, 1440;

However, using Microsoft's own Camera application, the Photoresolution for the front camera is reported as 2560x1440 & 2560x1920 and for the rear camera 3264x1836 & 3264x2448.

The attached python is a trimmed version of the official pyside camera example and prints the resolution of the available cameras to the console.
