Instantiating a QCoreApplication overwrites existing _ builtin

    Description

      If the _ builtin name exists before the class' instantiation, creating the application will overwrite that name's value with None.

      If the name doesn't exit beforehand, a new one is not created.

      After further investigation, it appears that importing Qt modules also causes this
