    Description

      This would be useful for a number of modules on Windows, such as finding the installation paths of various tools like WiX, NSIS, and others which are outside the responsibility of toolchain probes to locate.

      The WiX (QBS-413) and NSIS (QBS-414) modules could make use of this.
