Particle Effects not finding texture sources

Steps to reproduce:

• Crate a 3D project
• Add QtQuick3D Particles3D module
• Drag and drop e.g. Light Rain particle effect to 3D view
• Click in 3D View toolbar to start the animation
• -> Effect looks visually incorrect (attached picture)
• Running the application shows in output:
  • Warning: Failed to load image: C:/Users/taremes/Documents/UntitledProject42/content/rain.png ((null):0, (null))
• All effects seem to have the same issue for finding textures
