cannot scroll in properties view with touchpad

I cannot scroll in the properties view using the touchpad. I try to scroll down (on the touchpad from up to down) and the view scrolls in the wrong direction, before randomly jumping around (see video). That makes it hard to use the property view. Same happens when trying to scroll up (but that is not in the video).

Reproduction steps: start Qt DS, create new project (leave everything on default), ungroup the groups in the property view (to make it big enough to scroll) and scroll from up to down.

Scrolling works correctly when using the scroll bar or when "dragging it" with the mouse (as you would do on a touchscreen, but with the mouse).

Other views like 2D View or 3D View scroll correctly. I am using an M1 macbook pro.
