3D View plays also timeline animation when particle animation is on

Please see attached recording. When particle animation is toggled on in 3D View, it starts to play not only the particle animation but also timeline animation. I was expecting to see only the particle animation. To reproduce:

• Create/open a 3D project
• Create a timeline and some simple animation for Cube
• Add some effect to 3D View from Content Library -> Effects -> Add instance
• Select the effect
• Toggle particle animation on in 3D View toolbar
• -> Particle animation played, but also cube animation playing
• Is not at least a recent regression: checked DS 4.0 and same issue there.
