While in properties-view, user is shown properties that are applicable to the object. There is a tooltip which tells what the propertry is doing BUT it lacks the exact name including lower/uppercase what you will find in the code.
the problem
Take "Fill color" property as an example. If you look for that in the code, you don't find anything , you start looking for 'Fill Color' obviously - but don't find anything. Then you look for 'fillColor' and don't find anything etc. Until. you change the value while editing and see that the 'color' property has been changed.
solution
1. We should extend the tooltip to have a link to url of that component but still it won't solve the name part but this would push the problem a bit further away.
2. we can add the extra info into the tooltip. Currently tooltips are done using the ToolTip QML type that uses normal QString as input:
tooltip: qsTr("Sets the position of the component relative to its parent.")
We can easily add \n\n to format the tooptip so that has the info + details of the associated qml type, like so:
tooltip: qsTr("Sets the position of the component relative to its parent. \nQML representation is: x: and y: properties").
