Effect maker: "define" properties have bad UX

"define" properties in effect maker are ugly and hard to use:

• Entering define values as 0/1 is bad UX. They should be checkboxes if it's a binary choice.
• Defines should have user friendly description, all caps define name looks ugly in editor - doubly so because it is truncated.
• Changing define doesn't update preview until you toggle eyeball on/off
