Live Preview / Run crashes on macOS and Linux with Effect Demo example

      Found issue:

      Live Preview / Run crashes on Linux and macOS with example Effect Demo. Qml2puppet opens and runs for a while, then crashes after a while. Attached application output from Linux and crash log gotten from macOS.

      Additional information:

      Did not see qml2puppet crashing on Windows. 

      Did not see qml2puppet crashing with other examples.

      Tested with 4.4 RC, community edition.
