Selecting "Generate Cmake Build Files" gives failure message (new project structure)

"Old" way of generating cmake build files does not work with new project structure, but gives failure message "Cannot generate cmake files - The project is not properly structured for automatically generating CMake files". See attached picture.

If this is not even supposed to work anymore with new project structure, can hide this option? New way (Enable automatic cmake generation) does work.
