What is the benefit? Why is this valuable?
Understand which features, especially the new ones, users spend their time. Currently, we know only how much time is spent in different modes.
What are common use cases?
- Measure feature usage
- Measure the interest in new features
Technical information
Replace KUserFeedback (Telemetry) plugin with Insights client that sends the data directly to Insights database.
What we need to have from Qt Insight:
- UI path
- Most used interaction
- UI tour completion
- Example usage
- Crash rate & interaction that is inducing crash
- Funnel (expected interaction, engagement rate to a feature)
- Comparison between version for feature adoption analysis and others
*No need to 1:1 replace KUserFeedback. If Qt Insight can show data above, it's sufficient for first iteration for 4.6 release.
