"There are no materials in this project" seen in Material Editor after undocking the view

Steps to reproduce:

• Create/open a 3D project
• Select workspace "3D advanced" that has both Material Browser and Material Editor
• Undock Material Editor
• -> Material Editor stops showing the selected material and shows "There are no materials in this project" instead.
• Reselecting/double clicking the only material in Material Browser does not solve the issue. 
• Creating another material, or selecting another material (if there are many) in Material Browser solves the issue.
