Steps to reproduce:

• Create/open a 3D project
• Open a workspace that have 2D View and 3D view in the same docking are, e.g. 3D Animation
• Open 2D View and double click on top of the cube
• -> 3D view should open, showing the same view of the cube as 2D view and cube should get selected. 3D View opens, but view is not changed correctly and cube is not selected. Instead, view3D is selected (seen in Navigator)
• Dock 3D View to some other docking area in the workspace and try again
• -> works now as expected
