from https://the-qt-company-00.sentry.io/issues/6025325227 trace somehow the puppet tries to rerender at shutdown which leads to crashes when text rendering is involved

That behavoir was introduced by fix QDS-3461 Puppet crashes at shutdown - Qt Bug Tracker

So restarting the puppet needs to be more robust, independent what kind of scene it opens -> maybe testmode restart with that scene to see if that crashes.
