cannot edit binding value in "Bindings"

as the above screenshot, if I want to add 

rotation: -compass.rotation 

which cannot be done in Bindings' view.

but there is a workaround for this, just go to the Properties editor find "rotation" and 

but it is too hard to let users find this trick...
