Using an MCU kit breaks DS

DS finds MCU kits and shows them in the settings as if they could be used.
A kit can be selected and using one breaks the design mode and pretty much freezes the UI.
Selecting a kit gives an error message saying you can't use the selected kit to preview Qt for MCUs apps, but it doesn't tell the user why that is. It is very confusing when the settings show everything being ok and then freezing DS by changing a kit. To top it off, the 2D view error message has a link "Go to error" that does nothing when clicked.
