While working on the linked issue I've noticed that on Windows some Qt Bridge files with names having special characters (despite sanitizing export paths) cannot be imported.

I've narrowed them down to: !^& 

It has to be checked:

1. what is causing these issues
2. if this only appears on Windows
3. if some other platforms have some other problematic characters
