QDS Oulu - 2025 Week 23/24
Description
- Close all views
- Close QDS
- Open QDS
- Open/create a 3D project
- Check the state of checkable toolbar buttons and menu options in 3D view
- Open another 3D project
- Check the state of checkable toolbar buttons and menu options in 3D view
-> The default state of checkable toolbar buttons and menu options differs slightly depending whether the 3D view was open at project open or not. E.g. edit camera mode shows ortho despite it clearly being perspective when 3D view is opened first time after project open.
This issue is also obvious when there are multiple 3D views in the scene:
- Make sure 3D view, components view, and navigator are open
- Add another View3D element to the scene
- Select the new 3D scene in navigator
- Click various scene specific checkable toolbar buttons so that the toolstate differs from the other scene (e.g. camera mode, global/local orientation, scale/rotate/translate tool)
- Select the original 3D scene in navigator
- Close 3D view
- Select the new 3D scene in navigator
- Open 3D view
-> The state of checkable toolbar buttons reflects that of the original 3D scene, rather than the new one.
- Switch to original scene and back to new one
-> Button states are now correct for the new scene
