visibility on effects turns off the whole item

    Description

      Due to the parent - child relationship of effects using the visibility toggle in the navigator or the properties currently turns the whole item invisible instead of just turning the effect on or off. It would be better if there was a way to turn the effect off while leaving the child visible.
