When reading QML, it currently is done with multiple abstractions. Current codemodule is not maintained fully.

QqmlDom - library that will part of Qt6, having public APIs. Gives access reading and writing QML. The Qqmldom will be maintained by RND.

The usage of old codebase results in slow performance when switching from one project to another. With QQmldom the performance should be better.
